Does treatment have any impact on long-term morbidity and/or mortality?
- The most important question remains glaringly unanswered (perhaps unanswerable?).
It certainly seems reasonable to assume that biochemical, virological, and histological endpoints would correlate with more important clinical outcomes, but where data is lacking, the individual clinician must decide at what cost these assumptions can be made.
